We send calls across the Internet,
Calls go through your computer Internet modem,
Our analog telephone adapter (ATA) splits your Internet for your phone from the email and other traffic to your computer,
Phone calls are then sent to your regular or cordless phones
Can I Keep My Current Number?
Yes, you can normally keep your existing number by the following steps:
Show proof (current bill) of ownership of the numbers and you are authorized to move the numbers.
Execute a Letter of Authorization (LOA) per F.C.C. regulations and existing carrier
LOA will be provided during sign-up
How Long Does Phone Number Transfer Take?
Typically most numbers transfer in 10-14 business days, but it is unusual for the transferring carrier to take up to 4 weeks. Errors, mistakes or omission on LOA can lengthen the process further.
Some carriers may require additional information or releases, we will forward them to you upon receipt.
We will provide temporary telephone numbers when necessary during the transfer process.
How Will I Know When My Numbers Are Moved?
We will notify you prior to transfer and also the day of the transfer of service.
Can I Cancel My Current Phone Service Now?
No, the current MUST be kept active and payments current. If the account is not active or payments not current the existing carriers will not transfer the numbers.
Can I Keep My Toll Free And Fax Numbers?
Yes, you toll free and fax numbers will be included in the LOA. Please note; if the toll free number or fax number is with a different carrier a separate LOA will be required.
The Virtual Office Service does not require a separate fax number as a toll free fax number is provided in the service allowing you to send and receive faxes while away from your office and receive faxes as emails.
What If I Don't Have Phone Service Now?
We will provide you local or toll free numbers as needed.
Can I Get A Phone Number For A Nearby City Also?
Yes, two ways:
Standard phone line, inbound and outbound, like your local service at NO premium cost. Businesses $24.00 as
second line.
Inbound Only, allows you to receive calls from customers out of your area. Businesses pay only $9.95 for
additional each city.
Can I Use My Computer And Phone At The Same Time?
Yes, One does not interfere with the other.
Does My Computer Need To Be On To Receive Calls?
No, the phone adapter separates phone calls from computer related traffic.
What Is VoIP Telephone Service?
